Eyecare Q&A

My daughter is 3months old and she cannot open her eyes wide. Paed doctor said she may have ptosis. I know that surgery can correct this problem. But the side effect is that the eyes could not be closed completely. Would this problem be minimized becuase that would make eyes dry and it is troublesome to apply lubricant? After operation, would the appearance look as normal as an ordinary person?

Dryness after ptosis surgery is inevitable.

The level of side effect varies between individuals, also depends on the severity of ptosis.

Appearance should be normal if the surgery is successful.
